New Member - with 68208-98A wiring question
Hey Folks, I ride a '96 Softail Heritage & will try to post a pic tomorrow. I'm glad to find this forum as I have a question about wiring a set of passing lamps. I got the halogen upgrade lamps (68208-98A) and there's no instruction as to which wire is hot and which is ground. The lamp has a black boot on the back with one pigtail wire and one post (see pic below that I borrowed from RAM's posting). I need to know if the pigtail is the hot wire that goes to the switch or is it the ground wire that goes to the case? I don't want to wire it wrong and blow $60 worth of bulbs on start-up. If this question has already been answered in the forum I apologize for asking it again. I couldn't find this detail anywhere in the forum. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome aboard from Omaha, Nebraska.
The pigtail should be the hot wire with the case going to ground. Don't worry about blowing up the bulb, it won't happen.
