First time rider/buyer, Nightster?
Hi Guys! I've been hanging around this forum for a month or so and been trying to see what people say about the new Nightster and I'm pretty much convinced it's the bike I want.... but... I've never ridden before! I've ridden a 450 dirt bike once and the 125 at the safety course I took (which I was so good I got a hat, 100 on the test, lol). Now I'm a26 year old male, 5'7" and about 150 lbs. Currently I drive a Jeep back and forth to work everyday and I figure I can almost cover the cost of the bike in the money I'll save in gas, plus I'll finally have a bike! I've always wanted a Harley but have always been a little worried about the "harley maintenance problems". Speaking to some guys I know at work and reading on the internet, I've come to the conclusion that this is not really an issue anymore. I've sat on one and it felt great with that low seat height but I am worried about dropping a brand new bike. Any feedback on the first bike and maintenance issues is grealty appreciated! Thanks!

Howdy, welcome to the forum. Small world, I also drive a Jeep back and forth to work. I would say that if the bike feels good to you and it will make you happy buying it, then go for it. As for the dropping the bike thing, sooner or later most everybody goes through that unhappiness. I did it with my first bike and I learned from it. The name of the game is to be happy and enjoy the ride and don't worry about things until they happen. Good luck
