Default Trailer Rental -Help Please

I will be moving from NY to GA soon and need some advice. (I am anticipating many responses that say "just ride it", butthat is not an option.) Can one rent a uhaul trailer and put a bike in it? Has anyone here done it? I know on the uhaul website there is a cycle trailer but that is for local rental only; I obviously need a one-way rental. Any other options for companies that may rent a one-way enclosed trailer that would fit a bike.
Thanks.

I was going to rent one once, but they wanted about $400 one way from NY to NC, so I went and bought one instead, I paid $700 brand new at a trailer dealer. Im sure you can find an used flat bed trailer cheaper than $700

I was thinking of renting a trailer to take my bike south for a vacation ride this winter. I would suggest whatever you do you go with a covered trailer as you never know how much salt dust you will run into on the way.

I saw the following company selling its services at the Detroit Motorcycle show... might work for your needs (one way haul to a dealer) but would not work for me.... going on a vacation.

Yeah, I rented a 6 x 12 tandem axle enclosed u-haul trailer once, hauled two bikes (Road King and Dyna) from Michigan to Tennessee so's wife and I could ride the BRP. I had to make a couple of tie down brackets. The trailer has an aluminum floor. I removed a couple of the bolts inside, and bolted my brackets down to the floor. Tight fit, as the trailer is 6 feet wide. Your Dyna would fit in the tandem trailer real well, with room for other stuff too. I didn't do the one-way, I think the rate was about $80 / day. I think that 1-ways are quite a bit higher, but the u-haul site has them for the enclosed trailer.
