Default New Guy From Central Florida!

Been riding for years and looked at a bunch of H-Ds with the intent of buying one "someday". Well, that day finally arrived and I find myself the owner of a 2006 Road King. It's got some issues, but so does its owner.

I'll post a pic if the noob-police allow it. I think I'm gonna learn a lot about these 88ci engines and am kind of surprised that they didn't even use O2 sensors on them in 2006!

Took the bike out for the first ride (beyond test riding) today and it'll take some getting used to. A LOT different than my other bikes.

Just poppin' in to say "hi!"

Hi there my friend. Good to have you here. Also, that is a really cool color on the bike. I kind of wonder why that is not more prevalent. That color.

Anyway, feel free to take your time, look around, put your feet up and grab a beer….There is a huge amount of stuff here at this website. Like technical and mechanical forum, Harley videos, forums by model, a section for just Road trips, regional areas, photos, excellent vendors of all kinds, a place to buy and sell bikes and parts, games, my goodness the list keeps on going…

Now, for my regular welcome to you...

G'day mate,

welcome to HDF.

I will be your tour guide. Be sure to read the manual before posting ok mate?

Or we will have discipline you and if you don't "get it" we will need to discipline you biker style.

Here is a gift for you… LOL! “I so funi!”

Now let’s get serious for your orientation. Go down the hall on your left to the 1st room. No, wait. The 1st room on your right. That is where the commissary is.

Then you will see doors marked for the mortuary, skeet shooting, a room where we make fun of In-Jun bikes, and of course we have a ahh, umm, oh yeah a across the hall.

We had a BOMB MAKING room but, well, ahhhhh, 1 of the guys just didn't understand Blasting Caps very well so..... you know.

We have our own pub .

There are several places where you can familiarize your self with the .

So don't be a wall flower watching others . Get involved.

See you around mate. I am going to the commissary now.

**** ON THE SERIOUS SIDE ****

You are in the “New Members Area” where you can introduce yourself and let us know what Harley Davidson bike(s) (if any) you ride/own.

If you have questions about engines, exhaust systems, audio issues, etc… then:

1) Please go to the upper corner and Roll Over “Forums

2) Then come down to and Roll Over “Harley Davidson Tech & Mechanical Forum

3) Then come down to the section that would be most appropriate for your question like Audio Systems, Engine Mechanical Topics, Exhaust System Topics, etc… and CLICK on the topic you have a question about.

You will find the knowledge here is EXCELLENT and these here mates are willing to help you in any way they can. ‘juss be careful. There are some “Trolls”, so I suggest just ignoring them ‘ole farts.

See you around HDF. Come often, we have a humor thread, game thread, and a LOT of other stuff.

Have A Great Day Mate,

BuzzCap7

Thanks everyone!

Been burning around the forum here and already got my Service Manual for the Ol' Gurl. It's got a set of V&H open pipes, and the previous owner took it to the dealer with an issue and said they "fixed" it by removing the Fuel Pak. I'm sure there will be some fine-tuning before it's all done. I just don't know exactly where yet. I don't look at doing many performance mods, and may even swap out the BIG V&H pipes. Not sure yet. I'll be digging in below the surface shortly to figure out exactly what is going on under the surface.

I'm sure I'll be buggin' y'all with questions, all in the name of learning. Be patient. I'm still trying to squeeze 'em all in while I'm still the noob! Lol.
