I bought a 2007 Harley Electra Glide 3 yrs ago with only 10,000 miles on it. I rarely ride it. Once last year and 3 times this year. It has 11,700 miles now. The 10,000 mile maintenance was done on it before I bought it. I probably won't put another 5000 miles on it in 3 more years. I may ride it a mile to church or a 5 mile round trip to town every now and then. My question is, do I need to do any maintenance on it before 15,000 miles since it will be forever before I hit that? Am I doing any damage to it by not riding or cranking it often? Someone told me I needed to at least ride it around the block once a week to keep everything lubed up inside or condensation would build up. How can I best take care of this bike if I don't ride it much? Thanks

it needs to heat up long enough to burn off the condensation in the engine. Around the block probably won't be enough.

I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding.
