would you believe it,
an hour after posting this I had a call from my local dealer that I have spoken to many times.
Has 2 new 15year anniversary fatboys coming in next week and one of them has my name on it if I want it.
Put the phone down, drove down and put down the deposit.
It's gonna happen !!!

RE: not from around here
Now all we need if to do is quaf down a pint with some fish and chips and it will be official. On a more serious note, welcome aboard to the forum, you're gonna like it here. Do you have a good recipe for REAL fish in chips? They were a staple to my diet when I was stationed in Scotland above her majesteys Faslane subbase- I was in Holy Loch. Used to be fish and chips and an Iron Brew..... Would love to find a real good recipe to try it here (I know I have to cook it in lard...lol.

RE: not from around here
catch or purchase fish (Cod preferably)
cut potatoes into chips
fry fish and chips
add plenty of salt and vinegar until it tastes great.
do NOT add ketchup or tartae sauce
and last but definately not least,
Wash down with London Pride or Boddingtons (do NOT substitute American beer)
or
even better
ride down to local SoCal Dana Point Habor Fish 'n Chip shop

RE: not from around here
Here ya go, Bruce. Fish 'n' Chips in a nice beer batter!

Enjoy! All ya need now is the Irn Bru, although I'd stick with beer if I were you
P.S. I know some purists say you need to fry in lard, stick to vegetable oil - you'll live longer. Did you try that other Scottish favourite, deep-fried battered Mars bars?
