Happy to be here!
New Member. Came here looking for ideas as to why my '09 XL1200C is having issues. I have been building Harley's since 1977 when and older biker told me "If you want a Harley you have to build it yourself." He gave me everything I needed and then sat and drank, (among other things), and walked me through the whole build..Thank you Bear for the time, knowledge, and love ! R.I.P. Brother! Live in Kansas now but have been living south of the Mason Dixon for years just for the 350 days of riding a year. This bike I ride now is a 2009 1200 (not really) that I have built and loved from the ground up. Has around $6000.00 build money and another $4000.00 in chrome. She's pretty and super fast! Hope I can offer advice when asked and get good intel. Ride Hard Die Free!!

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding.
Good Luck!!
