Hello from PA
Just joining up to read and learn more about these things. I'm from York County, PA. Came across the forum searching up compensator and primary rebuild posts after having a problem with it shortly after getting it back on the road. I've had motorcycles of every fashion for most of my life and spent a lot of time on tracks with street bikes. I recently came into an '04 Heritage Classic Injected that spent a little time sitting.
I couldn't stand the look so started tweaking right away.
Before I came into the bike it had a stage II SE cam kit and SE pipes already on it.
Currently as it sits i've done the legendary cycles lowering kit, legendary cycles swing-arm bag and mount, removed the leather tank bib and put a chrome one on, kuryakyn rear bullet turn signal bar and curved license plate mount, kuryakyn bullet front turn signal bar after taking off the bags, backrest, and rack. I have rear saddle guard bars on the way just because I like the way they look as bare rear crash guards.
I am planning on doing wide whitewalls, have the pin stripe done in white instead of teal, Samson longhorn pipes, and Carlini 16" flying apes yet.
I had a primary drive problem almost right after getting it back on the road. I was getting a god awful noise from the primary. Turned out the compensator nut was completely loose. Rebuilt everything in there and put it back together and life is good.
