HDForums’ Guidelines **PLEASE READ**

1. Vulgar language, images, memes and other offensive material including, but not limited to, sex, gender, race, nudity or pornography is not tolerated here. The HDForums Community Team shall be the sole judges of what does and what does not violate the Community standards.


2. Political Discussion is not permitted in the technical forums. A post containing political commentary may be edited or deleted. A political thread started anywhere will be moved or locked at the Moderators discretion. No Political Avatars or Sigs are allowed.


3. While debating and discussion is fine, respect your fellow enthusiasts. Being of a diverse background, members are likely to express different opinions, and while opinions may differ from yours, they are just that, opinions; and everyone is entitled to express theirs freely. We will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, or personal attacks. Do not flame, bother, bug, disrespect, hound or taunt ANYONE on the forums or through private messaging or chat room. If we feel a thread is getting out of hand we will close or delete it. You can/will lose your posting privileges if you continue this type of behavior.


4. "Trolls or Trolling", "Flames" and/or "Board Wars" are not tolerated here or elsewhere. Posts that taunt or are otherwise inflammatory against other sites will be removed. Also, anyone found to be making inflammatory posts and remarks on other forums (starting Flame/Board Wars) can and will lose their posting privileges here. This rule also applies to those that, for whatever reason, feel a need to post negative remarks about this site on other forums. If you do, don't expect to be welcome here.


5. Double posting is not allowed and can result in the deletion of one or both posts. Double posting is defined as posting the same information in two or more separate forums. We understand that some topics might fit into more than one forum. Please try to pick the best one. If you are placing an ad in Classifieds that applies to other sections, you may post your ad in more than one.


6. Selling or solicitation of ANYTHING in the general forum, by Private Message or in Chat is considered Spam and is not allowed. Anyone found posting excessive links to their websites, or suspected of "sneaky" advertising (Such as an Avatar) will be warned and will possibly lose their posting privileges. Using the name of your business as your login is prohibited unless you are a current Sponsor of HDF. Please post your private party ads in the HDForums Classifieds forum sections. If you are a business and have a product or service that would be of interest to our members, visit our Advertising/Sponsorship page to learn how you can join our team and help support our community. We offer a variety of low-cost packages that can be of great benefit to your company.


7. The Free HDForums Classified Sections are provided to active HDF Members only. We are not interested in competing with Craigslist or Ebay. To be considered an "active" HDF Member you have to have been registered for at least 5 days and have a minimum of 5 posts. If you attempt to post in the Classified Sections prior to meeting the above criteria you will receive an error message telling you that you do not have posting privileges in those sections.


8. No promotions of other related sites. There is no problem with occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered "SPAM" and is not allowed. Please have the decency of NOT putting links to them in your signature, profile or have a post, PM or Chat telling our members to come over to another related site. Such activity is grounds for removal from signature, and repeated offenses are grounds for being banned.


9. You are not allowed to post links that lead to an affiliate program or that in any way earn you something. We consider you earning something if you have an affiliate ID, website, or if you earn money from banner impressions or click-thru's. If you feel that you have a service or product that the members of HDForums can benefit from notify the Administrator.


10. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Vendors are allowed to have multiple accounts through IB Sales.


11. Illegal transactions/sites, selling of personal information (i.e. credit cards, e-mail addresses), pornography, etc are not allowed in the forums and will result in the deletion of the post and the revocation of your posting privileges.


12. While these guidelines cover most common situations, we cannot anticipate everything. Therefore, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure our Community is not disrupted or abused in any way.


13. The Community Team and Administrators have final word in anything and everything. If you have a problem or a complaint direct it to them, not to the general forums. They will then take the appropriate actions. This applies to issues with the forum in general, as well as issues with other members. Do not attack a Community Team Member or an Admin on the open forum, email or PM.


14. Do not bash our Sponsors on the open forum. Remember this is a free forum and they pay the bills. Have the decency to contact them by pm, email or telephone if you have a problem. You can also contact Admin here if you feel that one of our sponsors is out of line.


15. There will be no COP/LEO Bashing or Motorcycle Club, AKA 1%er bashing allowed on HDF. We have many Law Enforcement Officers and Club Members here and we will not allow them to be subject to that kind of treatment.


16. Copyrighted material cannot be posted on HDForums. Do not post pictures that have a copyright stamp on them or bootlegged material, such as Harley Manuals which have been illegally downloaded on CD's. Any violation of this will cause the post/thread to be removed and the offending member to be warned or banned (depending on the severity of the violation).


17. We ask that members keep in mind membership is a privilege, NOT a right, and as a private Community, the administration and Community Team have total say as to which members are, and are not allowed. The same rule applies for single posts and threads, and anything deemed to be inappropriate by any member of the Team will be removed. Members who continue to ignore this rule will be removed with no possibility of return.


18. Do not post fund raisers of any kind on this site. We will not be held responsible for scammers placing fake fund raisers and stealing your money so to protect everyone we do not want, will not allow or condone any fund raising on HDForums. All fund raiser threads will be removed.

I understand the way the real world works. But it's also slimey when you can't speak out about a sponsor.

You run the risk of devaluing advertising if you don't trust it.

I realize how life works though. Not saying there is bad sponsor here.

 

What rule says you can't speak out about a "sponsor"? Are referring to a vendor? There is a "Forum Issues" section as well as a "Good or Bad Shopping Experience on HDF" where you can post issues or experience with a vendor.
