Want to thank everyone for chiming in
So, Update.
Leaving S.D. via I-90 westbound, I decided to stop at every HARLEY shop way home. After first stop, I realized they weren’t going to be much help, because they were just jumping through the hoops I had already jumped through. 8 hours on the road gives you plenty of time to think outside the box.
Called my go to guys in Belgrade MT. Explained my issue to Jim { head of parts } and my ideas. Asked him to do a little research and I would see him in the morning when I was passing through.
Fast Forward... Next day stopped in, Jim got out his notes and informed me that my ideas were correct, but that he had gone one step further and found 2 complete kits back east. Asked what it was going to take to get one to which he replied “a phone call”.
lets make it happen then.
This is why YELLOWSTONE HARLEY DAVIDSON got a bronze medal from the mother company foe their service.
