1st Harley, and very happy so far
I'm an old(ish) man who just started riding 2 years ago. My learner bike was a 98 shadow 1100. It was a bit of a basket case but still reliable, I did 30km in 2 years on it, but it was time for something newer - and something for a midlife crisis since I'm turning 50. I hadn't really considered Harley's due to the price point, but started reading lots about used Harleys - including this site -and as of good Friday I now own a 2008 Fat Bob.
WOW is what came to mind on my rid home on it. The quality and feel of the bike is 10x what the Honda felt like, though I know that bike was not in great shape when I got it. Regardless, I'm loving the Fat Bob, it runs so smooth, and has a ridiculous amount of power (came with stage 2) when compared to my last ride. Definitely looking forward to lots of seat time on this ride, and hope to learn lots more about these bikes.
