Hey everyone, my name is Rick, I go by that or Ghost, my military nickname. I am a Service Connected Disabled Veteran and just moved to Dothan Alabama. With the warmer weather I decided I wanted to ride more so I am selling my Vulcan Classic and getting a new to me 2001 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Fuel injected. Never had a HD before but wanted something I can travel on and take a girl for rides, if I ever find a girl.
I go Friday November 2 to pick up my bike. It is a really nice bike and sounds great. I am hoping someone can help me with a few things since I am new to HD. Now I can take a sportbike from a pile of eBay parts and build it to a complete bike, but HD I am new and do not understand all the differences and specifics.
I am looking to add a few things but not a lot. First off I want a Batwing fairing that I can keep my light bar and signals and all that, then I want some I think they are called stretched and swept back hard bags and maybe the side covers to help it blend. I do not have a fortune to spend but would like a solid product at a good or great price. I also want chrome covers that cover the bottom part of the front forks if anyone knows what they are called and can help me find those at a good price also.
Thanks in advance and I know I am at the right place for friends, advice and help. Thanks again and I cannot wait to get my bike.
Oh, I am also curious what color blue it is and if it is a factory color or not? Thanks again.
