Hi all,
My name is Mark and am a proud owner of my first HD. She is a 2008 FXD I bought this week. I am 46 and have been riding for 30 years. My last bike was a 2009 zuke C50SE that I bought new and went crazy with adding stuff (batwing, forward controls, highway bar, hard bags etc etc) including a modified C90 rear drive to improve highway manners and put 40k miles on her. Unfortunately someone ran her over while she was parked in front of my house and ran away. Bike was totalled.

This was early last year and I thought I could get away from riding for awhile but the bug bit me hard and I thought I would look at some used Harleys and Victories. Never could afford a new one and I saw some good deals locally on very low mileage used ones. I always loved Dynas and Fat Boys and found this 2008 FXD with only 14k miles on her.



No dings or scratches, seat like new. I am a happy camper and love the extra power over the zuke 800cc. I ordered some Victory hard bags and am awaiting those to arrive. Not sure what else I would like to add. I am used to floorboards and heel/toe shifters and not sure if I will look into doing something along those lines with this. I do for sure want a highway bar but not sure which will work with the forward controls. Also are there any quirks or specific things I should keep an eye on for the 2008 model or engine?

Anywho, that is me and I am sure I will be picking peoples brains around here lol.
