Default Now officially Fat Bob 114 owner and HD Newbie

Hi - I’m Adam and I live in Reading UK, I like to keep things simple, hence Adamreading...

I’ve been riding 24 years. I’ve made a few posts on here already in the run up to today’s collection of a new 2018 Fat Bob 114. But now I have the bike, I felt I ought to introduce myself.

I’m a car salesman by trade, though previously I’ve been many other things. 15 yrs selling Citroen brand cars and vans.

Owned Bikes I can remember
XV750 jap Import (not a virago)
GT550 - that was bulletproof
Divie 900 (Purple Ronnie)
CBR1000 - Jellymold edition (we broke the suspension jumping Sonning bridge two up)
Yam Thundercat 600 (realised on the first day of owning it that the combined weight of myself and GF at the time was 2 stone over it's maximum - oops)
Peugeot SpeedFight 125 (actually a great little commuter)
VF750 - pre the vtech thingy
XJR1300 SP
R1200RT
Victory Vegas 8 Ball - without doubt the nicest sounding bike I ever smashed to pieces in an accident
Triumph Thunderbird 1600 - really boring and tedious
R1200RT
VFR1200 DCT
Crosstourer DCT
XJR1300 2002
Fat Bob 114 2018

I’ve picked it up today from Warr’s Harley Davidson in London. Very positive experience with them.

Its got Profile Mirrors, Sundowner Seat, S&S grand national cans and a special brake pedal fitted (I couldn’t reach the stock one at all)

I’ve booked it’s first service for 3 weeks time, where they’ll also fit black Ceramic coated heat shield and
moustach engine bars which hadn’t arrived in time.

I’m hoping to meet up with ADM off here and check out his Avon Grips, and see the Phil Birch 1/4 fairing. Plus I’m keen to get something like the Heinz Bike front led indicators and maybe a fender stop light fitted.

:-) You are welcome to meet up, mate. It might be a little while as I am off to Prague on Friday for the HD 115th celebrations and that's going to be a 2 week trip there and back the long and twisty way. My Fat Bob is going to love it!

In the meantime, enjoy the bike - looks like we will have some superb weather for the next two weeks so make the most of it..... take a trip over to Rykas at the bottom of Box Hill. I met two new Fat bobbers there last week - one had traded a Ducatti XDiavelS for his 'Bob and much prefers it to the Ducatti.....
