street bob/ 8 ball
Hello to all, just found this site. Would like some input. Long time rider, sold my shovel and
now interested in new ride. At present I'm comparing the dyna and 8 ball by Victory. Have
been reading through other forums and was very supprised to learn of all the problems the
newer bikes are having. I'm hoping some long time riders can tell me why I should support
H D when they turned their backs on the pan/shovel crowd. Will buy american but not into
Iron horse/Big dog etc. Victory seems to have a good basic bike with bigger motor, better
brakes and other things. Besides the usual "H D or nuthin" I'd like intelligent input, to help
me make a decision. Have always rode H D so this is a tough one for me.

RE: street bob/ 8 ball
Hello.. and welcome from South Florida.
I ride a 06 Dyna and a 06 Arlen Ness Victory.
I thoroughly enjoy both and don't think you can go wrong with either.
If you are into modding and customizing, the H-D is the only choice.
Otherwise, the Vic 8 Ball is less money and a great quality bike.
Good luck deciding, I couldn't.

I suggest going to the victory forum and check out what problems they are having with the 8ball. I was thinking about getting one, but I read their forum and alot of them were saying that they need it to change rear brake about every 3,000 miles or so
