New guy from Balt, MD

Hey guys, I recently picked up an '87 30th Sportster as my first Harley. PO attempted to bob it, as quit early on in the project. (thank god)
Plans are to do a moderate resto, new paint, bars, and some mild updates. I'd just like to make her solid, reliable rider.

Here's the Evo as I bought it. Had a Keihin butterfly carb on it, doesn't run. I bought a CV carb from the HoCo swap meet, tossed it on and it ran OK... doing a rebuild now.
I fixed some wiring so far, added tracker bars, 6" risers, La Pera seat, and the small fairing.
The P.O. cut the original fender up, which is really unfortunate. I'm trying to get in touch with the original owner (per these forums: Run1FSR) to see if he has the original rusted fender from his build thread. Looks like he owned this bike (#178/650) about 4 years ago.
