Oldie but Goodie From Spring, TX
Bought a 1942 WLA in 2006 as a project. I've restored three cars and decided to take on a bike for a change. I always liked the old flatheads so when I found this one on EBay after looking around for several months I bit on it.
Bike was complete but needed a complete resto.. As I got into it I found several modifications the worst being a modified rear frame section that lenghtened the wheel base by 1.5".
I have done all the work on this in my garage shop including paint. I am stuggling with some stubborn oil leaks and the finnicky Linkert Carb right now but nothing thatcan't be fixed with some time, cash and bloodshed.
This is my second Harley and my seventh motorcycle. My first Harley was a 2002 Roadglide that I sold a when I bought (please forgive me purists) an 05 Goldwing. The Wing is my traveler, the Harley is my hobby/fun bike and probably not my last. I love the old Harleys and Indians and plan to keep one on the lift and one on the floor for a while. Keeps me out of the bars!
