Just found the forum surfin' for info on my new (1 day!) Silver & Black Nightster- love it, love it, love it.
Started riding in 2001 (I was at an airport boarding a flight on September 11) when I realized I was going to pursue my dreams. First bike was aYamaha V-Star, moved on tothe Beemers: F650CS, then R1150R, then a Ducati Monster.
Been wanting to return to a cruiser again, would love a custom,retro-style... loved the look of theTriumph Bonneville or something similar. Isearched, researched, fretted, read, dreamed and decided the Nightster was the one! It combined the retro roadster look with the "modern" features I wanted (fuel injection, belt drive, etc) with my desire for a Harley. I have to add, I do miss the smell of a carbureted engine in my garage... <sniff... ahhhh> Oh, and might I saythe Nightsterwas perfect for my lack of inseam length!
Everything about it is so different than my last few bikes, but I am loving getting to know it... it handles well, has plenty of pep for me and looks great (IMHO).
Thanks for letting me gush! [sm=hia.gif]
