Howdy from "sunny" NY State - we reached 21 degrees today after a 10 degree start. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, and a midweek thaw in the forecast for tomorrow.

My wife and I were previous riders (she - Low Rider, me - Japanese Cruisers) but neither of us owned a bike in 20 years prior to putting approximately 5K miles on a good friend's 04 Heritage this past summer. We both completed a motorcycle safety class prior to riding, which was damn fun and helped us both get reacquainted with the basics. We (with 1-2 other bikes leading)travelled the finger lakes, Pennsylvania Northern Tier, and a few hilly mountain regions in the sun and rain. BEST SUMMER EVER.

With the advice and help of friends, we purchased a 2015 Ultra Limited Low from a local dealer, and it sits in the garage connected to a battery tender. I'm spending my free time reading the manuals and sorting out which headsets (Bluetooth or Wired) to buy, and waiting for the spring and clean roads.

Looking forward to learning more about the bike!

Big doe crossed the two lane highway (October), and the lead bike (RG) hit it in the right flank about 50mph - BIKE STAYED UP, the deer got knocked into the grass, got up and ran off. Impact broke the right lower, launched the front fender (it flew over our heads), and scratched the fairing. They limped the bike home after the state trooper left and I drove back later to retrieve the fender.

That was an eye-opener -
