New Member from the Philly Area
Hi,
I've been reading various posts from this site for years, finally decided to join. I've been riding motorcycles off and on for almost 30 years. Jesus, that sounds like I'm old. My first bike was a late 70s Honda Hawk that I rode into the ground. After that there was a Yamaha in there when I was in the Marines in the late 80s-early 90s. About seven years ago or so, I bought a used Buell; but I had to get rid of it after getting hit in the rear at a stoplight in West Philly. I bought an '07 used 883 Sportster after that and rode it all over the place, including a trek from Philly to the St. Louis area and back. A couple weeks ago, I traded in the old Sportster for a brand new '16 48. I've been in love with Sportsters since a buddy got one in the early 90s. I'm a ATGATT rider, which seems kinda rare for Harley riders in my area, but I don't get much guff about it; though a lady at a gas pump asked if I was hot the other day.
That's about it. I look forward to learning a lot from folks and I'm sure I'll post a lot of questions as I start to customize my new 48.
