Advice? Keep the dirty side down. I found that driving around quiet subdivisions helped me get used to the turn signals, stopping as often as possible and restarting.
Upshifting with the heel was a big change for me from my metric days, but I have adapted.

Look into purchasing Ride Like A Pro IV http://www.ridelikeapro.com/- video's like this will help you improve your riding skills quickly.
