Default Hi from Wales in the UK!

Hi guys & gal's!

Just come across your forum, always wanted a Harley and going to try a few out next week! I'm looking at a few different styles, mainly because I cant make my mind up so hoping this forum helps!

I have been eyeing up, the street 750, the 48, the street bob, the fat bob and V-Rods, ridden all sorts of bikes, raced competitively off-road for 10 years, and now just looking for something that gets me excited to go ride again! I'm 6'3 15 stone and last bike was a Ducati monster 796.

Any opinions are more than welcome!!

Thanks in advance

Welcome. I would say based on experience and being a similar size you will find the 750 and 48 to small. I love the 48 and sportsters in general but the sizing is abit off so I got a streetbob, now I'm on a fatboy but still ride the wife 1200c sometimes.

Hi Nomad, thanks for the input!

How do you find the fat boy vs the streetbob?? Much comparision? Pros? Cons? Im looking at something I can use for weekend ride outs and then maybe a week tour up round scotland, down through france etc?

Thanks again.

They are both great bikes but are both very different. I've done a lot of touring on dynas and have thoroughly enjoyed it, but to be honest now I've got my fatty I won't be going back to a dyna. The fatboy is a lazier comfier ride but has 90% of the handling capability, ground clearance in the turns is a bit of a limiting factor though. If I'm being perfectly honest I don't have harleys for there speed and agility it's something much deeper. Enjoy your test rides bud.
