Howdy,
Just want to introduce myself, and say Howdy.
I just purchased a new 2016 XL883 Iron. HD has certainly come a long way, since my last Sporty (75th Anny).
I'm a longtime motorcyclist (52 years of riding). I love motors of all types, and I'm specially fond of small two strokes. That may be blasphemy to Harley fans, but it's what I like. I love little lightweight 50cc two strokes. I have a 1968 DKW 3 speed 2 stroke 50cc bike, that is pure pleasure to ride around my little ranch. I can actually pick the whole thing up off the ground. No grunting, and groaning trying to get it backed out of the garage. Starts first kick. Simple, easy. If it would cruise at 75mph, I probably would never have bought the Iron. Little two stroke motorcycles are like fat chicks; a lot of fun to ride, but nobody wants to be seen on one. I don't mind being seen on mine. But the power, sound, and majesty of the Harley is also a pretty wonderful thing, and is without comparison in the motorcycle world. Hence, my latest purchase, and my reason for being here on this forum.

Sometimes ya just gotta peel out, Daddy-O.
