About me. I rode fro many years. My wife was always like a dog having to take a pee. If my bike started her leg would hike up so she could climb aboard. We spent several years traveling the country and even a trip into Canada. After 8 years she was ready to start a family. After our first child was born my riding went from 10k miles a year to 2k. The next year it was even less. One day after work I went for a ride to the HD dealer I bought my FXSTC from. He wrote me a check for it and gave me a ride home. That was crushing for my wife. She cried for days. I soon bought a boat and a camper. I told her when the kids were older we would ride again. Over the years of my children growing up I was able to borrow a bike from friends and family. So it was not a total withdrawl. Well a couple years ago I sold my boat. Second best day of boat ownership. Then my camper went. This past spring my eldest graduated from college and got married. My youngest started college this fall. So now I have a '09 FLHTC. It has been hard to not look at the for sale adds or even stop in the local dealer over the years. I once stopped by to meet up with a friend that works there and the sales guy tossed a set of keys to me. Said take for a couple days and let me know what you want to do. I told him he was a cruel man and walked out. ANy way. I came across this bike that was well taken care of that was a garage queen. almost 7 years old and just over 18K on it. Price was right so now it will get ridden. I/ we have put 5K on it in the last month. The wife is still the same. I was just going down the street the other morning to go to the store. The wife comes out in her PJ's saying "I want to go". I said I am only going to the store I will be right back. I had to wait for her to put some clothes on so I could get some eggs for breakfast.
Feels great to be back in the saddle again!!!
I am a Veteran. Served in the USMC from 85 to 91. Got out due to being injured. 30% disability.
I have read many of the threads on the forum and seems like I may fit in, or not.

ole lady sounds like a hoot! always good to have someone to share life with!!!

IDK about this forum, it was sold to Internet Brands awhile back, and if you hit "new posts' and look down the right side, it is all "games" crap.

so there's not much for a bike guy to do on here. LMK if you find a better forum with more bike stuff & less games.

Semper Gumby! friend came down, E4 at Camp Le Jeune, got to spend weekend with him prior his next deployment. I let him take all my toys out to play, he thought that was a GREAT DEAL.

then, I made him give everything I owned a good USMC cleaning, and I thought that was a GREAT DEAL!

he had to youtube how to disassemble some of them, but he got it!
