Hi brothers and sisters.
I am Peter, from Orlando and have a story that is sad but happy. Having rode jap bikes all my life, I hit 40 and figured I would finally get the Harley that has alluded me all my life. I was settled down and in a financial position to do so, and my kid brother had bought a 97 Fatboy.
I stopped by orlando Harley and fell in love with a Heritage Softtail and after negotiating, i went home to sleep on it, and the 14k they were asking. I went on a test ride and the guy swapped bikes with me and I rode home the fatboy he rode following me. To add to my confusion, the fatboy fit like a glove but cost more.
Don't hate me, but I ended up leaving the Suzuki dealership the next day with a new Boulevard after hearing about how much better they are and yada yada with the maintainance.
Well, 3 weeks later and 400 miles, i took a bath on the tradein and am the proud owner of a 2000 fatboy i shoulda bought in the first place.
I feel better in that someone had put a deposit on it and never returned and the previous owner was a judge for some antique motorcycle association and chromed it out and added what the sales guy said amoutns to several thousand in accessories.
5 minutes down the raod it occured to me that my but will never be parked on ANYTHING but a HD from here on out.
Thanks for having me here.
Although I hate to put a jap bike here, i am gonna show the beofre and after pics of Suzuki to Fatboy.
