Welcome from East Tennessee!
Have you decided what Model/Year Harley you want?
Sounds like you want to "Kick Back" and enjoy the Open Road!
Wonderful!
Regards
Ed

Couldn't have said it better myself - "Kick Back" is exactly what I intend to do.
While I do plan on doing plenty of long-distance riding, I don't think a touring bike is for me, so I am opting for a cruiser that I can customize for optimal comfort and performance on a long-distance ride - seat, luggage, windscreen, suspension etc.
I plan on getting something used either way - not gonna drop $$ on a brand new bike as my first.
I have been going back and forth but I keep coming back to the FXR, FXDB and FXDX. I also keep reading that if you want to go cross country on a Harley with as few problems as possible, a Sportster with an Evo is the way to go, so I've been considering that as well.

Thoughts?
