New guy checking in
Hello all full disclosure I don't know very much about Harleys I have been on Metric bikes my entire life. This bike was given to me by my dad he had a stroke in 2004 and the bike was sitting in his garage until 2014 when he gave it to me. I finally am in a position to get the carbs cleaned up and put some new wheels on it as the originals are pitted pretty bad. I was able to clean everything else up pretty good. To be honest I can fix almost anything metric but to do all the customer stuff he has done to this bike I really don't won't touch it.My goal is to get it back on the road looking almost as good as when he had it. He had several Harleys that he actually would ride but this one was his bar to bar bike that he would show off a little. The bike has 3200 original miles the paint is like new. I bought a new battery to make sure all the electrical was fine obviously he won't start the carbs are a mess for sure.Any advice on a shop around or near Raleigh NC?
