Hi there from Chicagoland
New guy here from the Chicago suburbs. Just purchased a 2007 Police Electra Glide. It belonged to my soon to be ex-brother in law; he's going through a divorce and couldn't afford to keep it so it was offered to me. I used to ride an old Honda CB 550 way back in my college days in the 80's and have had the itch to ride again in recent years so... when this opportunity came up - I jumped on it.
This is not exactly a good time of year for riding in my area, but I have managed to get in a couple of hundred miles on it since December and I'm getting comfortable with the extra size & weight and enjoying the experience of riding again.
The Harley has a garage companion, my big block 68 Mustang fastback that I have wrenched on/owned forever. I am relatively new to the world of Harleys so I am reading lots of posts here and gathering knowledge; I'm certain I'll have many questions too.
