Recently bought an '04 1200 custom. Has mini apes on it and, even with the comfy mustang seat, it's an awkward position for me after about 50 mis. Looking for either:
1) someone who has already gone apes and has stock handlebar with cables and brake line etc laying around they don't need/want (and would like to sell) or
2) someone who wants apes and is interested in a swap.

I've read threads here where guys have gone to these apes and love the setup. My back just isnt setup that way...?

I have a set of stock bars and a front brake line if your interested. As far as your wiring goes all you need to do is when you unplug them from under the tank is cut off the shrink wrap and find the connection that extends them.

 

What do you need to get for the bars and brake line?

The bars look straight up. Have you tried to rotate them back towards you?

 

Yes, i have. That rolls me even further back. I pushed them forward to give me a little forward lean. I was hoping that'd work. Still not as comfortable as i like.

I had an 06 several years ago with stock bars (and same mustang seat). I could ride that thing forever...comfortably. The more i ride, the more i keep going back to that.

 

Are you still interested in the stock bars?
