looking for 2010 stock exhaust mounts that someone HAS to have laying around. ill pay shipping

 

Forgive me. WTH are exhaust mounts? The collars on the pipes?

 

They are actually quite rare. That is those big shinny pipes attached to the cylinders and poking out the back. Most all are thrown in the big green dumpster out back and replaced with V&H or whatever the latest fad is. Then your state goes legal and the inspector want you to put them back on and you look for them. The one's with the cats are $1500

 

Glad I hung onto my stock pipes! Considered tossing them but you never know in Ca.

 

Actually, no, its the bolt plate that attaches to the tranny cover/frame that supports the stock exhaust. so many people have aftermarket exhausts that they have to have the stock **** laying around.

and it has nothing to do with inspections either, motorcycles arent emission tested in VA. its to mount my new MGS pipes since ive had V&H power duals on since the bike was new

 

 

Can you make one out of 1x1/8 flat strap?

 

not sure, havent had a chance to look at it, im still out of town. according to MGS, you have to have the stock ****.

ill just fab something up. i just cant believe, that on this forum, nobody has one.

of course, not many people here like me either, so that might be the case lol
