I doubt anyone whose using it properly will not want to part with it....Im gonna want one in the future but I prefer it new....

I think it has to be new cause it "marrys" to the bikes ECM and then you can program only that bike's ECM. I believe it will record data from any ECM, but only burn data to that spouse bike. Then again, maybe I am wrong.
