can get new ones off ebay for $8 for the pair and cost bout $20 to get the old ones cut off and new ones welded on

 

I've got a2010 fatbob shotgun headpipe in excellent condition, make me an offer plus shipping and you can have it. Same as headpipe on my sig pic.

 

I'm lookin' for a 2 into 1. I don't think the Fat Bob headers will fit between the frame and my running boards. I want to try to attach the muffler off the bottom of my bag brackets. Touring headers hang the muffler to low. Most Dyna headers bring the muffler up a little. A Dyna header with a longer touring muffler may work. That's why I would like to keep the cost down. "It may work." I'll put the Dyna back as my sig pic. That may help others see what I'm trying to do. I want the muffler to come out the back a little farther than the bag. Dyna mufflers end beneath the bag.

 

I don't think you want to attach the mufflers to anything other than the motor/trans, if you attach to frame it will not shake with the motor which could cause damage to the pipes or exhaust ports on a rubber mounted motor.

 

I plan to hang the muffler the same as HD does the dressers, off the bottom of the saddlebag mount. That's why I said it may work. No one has done it with a Dyna that I know of.
I just ordered the D&D 2 into 1 that BikerGarage101.com has on closeout. It's the pre '06 style but if it mounts and looks good I'll add the 02 bungs.
