Default 49mm mid glide front end for 2005 Lowrider

Ive got a 2005 Lowrider with twin disc 39mm narrowglide forks. Having liked the 49mm mid glide front ends on the later Lowriders Im wondering would this later front end just bolt on or will a fatbob front end work as well? If either of these would work does anyone have a 49mm twin disc front end laying around they would like to sell me?

There is no way that a 2006~current 49mm mid glide would fit onto a 2005 Lowrider. You can not use the old wheel or fender either. No one can put a set of dual disks on a 49mm either. You can not put an Ohlins 30mm superbike cartridges with compression, rebound, and external spring load also.

And .....

I'm converting to a FB front end with SG fork tubes - in the very near future I will have the trees, bars, fork sliders, brake line as well as front and rear spoke wheels available.

Clearly you are the man to talk to about how none of this will work on my Lowrider.

This was done by Bigdaddy33. He has a 2000 Low Rider and he used the lower legs from a night rod so he could keep his dual disc setup. He did a complete write up on it recently. Do a search for him as he has done what you are looking to do.....

He is a real nice guy and will be happy to answer any questions, just PM him. Give him something motorcycling to do as it is snowing like a bitch up in NY. I guess almost all of us must do something to bypass the blues or snow.

It is not a cloud in the sky and a high of 74 and I am stuck in the shop until now.

Hee....he, glad you got my humor.... See Jay Risk as he did a great write up on the advantages of his RaceTech set up and masterblaster will stop on by and he personally will install a set into his bike as well as clean and preb in detail.
