I am looking for a black oil tank that came stock from the factory on the “Softail Standard” from at least 2000-2007.

I have an 02 Softail . I am going to replace my chrome tank for a black one. Thanks!!!!!

Please let me know what you fing out. I would like to replace my chrome '07 Fatboy oil tank with a black wrinkled or black gloss oil tank. I understand that it's a lot of work, so I am thinking of having the wowrk done.

 

I just did the same thing. It's not hard work, just a lot of removing parts. Nothing you can't do if you're not dangerous to yourself and others. I wanted to replace the oem clamps and found the hardest part was finding the special pliers. Found a set on ebay cheap. If you go with worm gear clamps it's a lot easier. Be careful with the 90 degree hose on the tank. It tears easily.

Anyone else looking for a black oil tank I have a gloss black for $100 plus shipping.
