WTB: Progressive springs for 41mm forks
#2
i had the same request... with no luck.
i ended up grabbing a set off a guy on ebay named "bkrider" i cant say enough about them. they are progressive rated, but not progressive brand. hence the price difference...$90+ vs $45.
look them up and if you dont see what you want, email them! took real good care of me. special ordered a set of 422 rear shocks for me and even honored the lowest price i found on them. good people.

I know Johnny at bkrider pretty well. Their shop is really close to me actually.
think there's any diff between the company's springs and what bkrider sells?

ilmanzo I think you got the DBI ones, right?
I'm not actually looking to lower the front end, just get a better spring in there...
well, I guess 1" wouldn't hurt much anyway
how do you like the performance of what you got?

yes, the dbi kit on the front end and the progressive 422s on the back of my softail. looks and feels AMAZING! i dont like that high rake in the front after lowering the back. would rather be even, much more comfortable that way. heres a pic of teh bikes profile. appx 1 inch lower in front and back

the springs with a 20 weight fork oil was a substantial improvement. i felt it best in turns. that front wheel just hugged and the bike didnt dive at all. i was very happy with the change.

im 290...20 weight with the progressive spring was like night and day. the biggest improvement is that you wont get big dive on the front end over every bump, it absorbs but stays firm. that 1" didnt hurt the look much, but i really think it helped my control...and i push my machines.
i just changed to 20 weight on my rk with stock springs and didnt notice much. little better dampnig and rebounding over bumps, i guess. but when you change the oil in the engine it runs a little better too, no?? so the jury is still out on whether JUST fork oil does anything.

you think 30W will be too heavy?
interesting...my forks are ultima, and the fork spring is one piece, runs the entire length of the tube with no spacer at all. seems like every other fork has some sort of spacer...
