no, the touring seats are very specific to year. the break in years was 07 and earlier, and 08 and newer. it's the way the nose, or front of the seat mounts. one takes a tongue from the frame, one takes a slot in the frame. i can't remember which is which, but there is enough difference that you really need to get the right year of seat. there is one thing i forgot about when considering seats, the console on the electraglide and roadking are different than the streetglide. i replaced my 08 stock streetglide seat with an 09 roadglide seat, and wow, what an amazing difference, much more comfortable to ride now, and it does not look dorky like the sundowner and is much more comfortable as well. adding the tongue to your frame if you were to weld a tongue in, may pose a problem with the removal of the ecm tray or battery. you'd be better off to find an 07 or earlier seat for your 06 sg. hope this helps.
