i am looking for a 1983 FXDG rear fender Medallion, H-D Part# 99017-83, i know this is an almost impossible Part to find ,but i thought i would try my luck heir any way !


dose any one have one the are willing to part with ? i so i'd be very glad to hear from you !!

As you can see from the above post that the reproduction Medallion is very similar , but not exact , so thats why i am looking to find an original one . . .thanks for any re-ply , Best regards, Troy

well i feel like an expecting Mother !! after years of chasing a dream & looking for an original FXDG that i could afford , time & finances came together & i worked out a deal with the owner of this machine & I am planing on picking this bike up in March 2021, it's a slightly customised FXDG ! I have a reproduction Medallion, but of course i would like to find an original one even if just to make a copy of, so please if you have one , i would really love to hear from you, thanks for your consideration , Happy New Year , best wishes Troy

finally got me one!! (FXDG) . . ."Welcome to the 800 Club" . . . I plan on picking her up in the middle of March 2021



here's a reproduction that i will use until I can find an original one, this Hunt/Search is my personal "Holy Grail" . . I know theres one out there some where . .

 

I possibly found a Medallion for sale in Russia !! for a whooping 25 $ See my thread under Classic Shovelhead "FXDG Fender Medallion for sale in Russia" maybe there is someone who speaks Russin that can help me make contact with the Company, please help me if you can . . . feel like Indiana Jones & the Holy Grail !! lol , soooo close !!

 

Medallion up date , the Russian Connection did not work out, so i am still looking for an original, on a side note ,this last week i almost finished returning my FXDG back to Original condition !! i still have to do the Cam & Kicker Covers & instal the Black Exhaust . . .


i ordered some NOS OEM Ignition parts as soon as i receive them i'll finish this Build !! . . .

well Saturday the 3rd of April is just 3 weeks sense i brought My FXDG home , & i think She turned out great !! now i just need oem fender medallion to top it off !!


Just three weeks of hard work & she's done for now . . . .


from a distance the reproduction medallion looks great , but still WTB an original . . . my "HOLY Grail" Part, is there any one who can help me locate one !?!?!

heres a comparison photo of my repo Medallion & an OEM, as you can see their is not a really big difference in the 2 when mounted . . .


still looking for an OEM Medallion !
