Default Possibly may need a tranny 01 FLHRCI

Hi I have just had my tranny shaft seals changed because they went bad and were leaking..but as soon as i got it back from my mechanic..and i took it on a ride..kinda was riding a little hard...but nothing out of the ordinary..and when i parked it i had a large leak coming from the same area that was leaking in the first..then it stopped and i checked the fluid level and it was fine...then i took a long ride and it had no leak...but a few days later I rode it to work and had a leak again...so I checked the fluid again it was out...so my mechanic said he is gonna check it for me..he said it may be a cracked tranny...I hope not...but if it is..would anyone on here have a spare one or know where I can start looking?

Seen some slightly used ones on Ebay. Maybe other members might have one laying around that might want to sell. Hopefully its something simple. Those 5 speed trannys usually are hard to break.

I bet he is saying a cracked tranny because he is trying to steer you away from the fact that he didn`t fix the leak properly...

Cracked transmission cases are not a common occurrence.

Find out exactly what parts he replaced and let us know.

He went back and had to replace a spline gasket on the transmission...but I was only charged for the part no labor...

Hey everyone got the bike back today and I was given the bearing to see what was causing the leaking...I was told it was put in backwards..and that someone else had been in the tranny before my mechanic..and here's the pics..you can see the wear
