Anyone have a set of nice 2014 Road King Classic Saddlebags? Need a set for a 2014 bike with the new rear mounting system.

Have you checked the classifieds on this forum? I seen a set of locking ones for sale not to long ago. Im not sure what year.

 

Yeah didnt see any. The issue is I do not believe the 2013 and older bags will fit the new mounting system. The backs of the bags where they mount are definitely different.

If you're talking about the leather bags like on the '13 and older, you won't find any of them new in the US, as they don't offer a Rushmore RK classic. Only Standards, with hard bags.


I'm not sure what bags are on the Aussie and European models, but they did offer a Rushmore RK classic there to my understanding. Maybe you can get a set from one of those countries?

Well hell, I do stand corrected. I didn't think to look on the MOCO site since they don't offer the classic in the US, but I guess it does play well into their new business model.
Take things away, but then do you a "favor" and let you buy the stuff as an accessory.

 

Thanks. I saw those bags in the access catalog but was hoping for a used price around 500 instead of HD's 900. Though Newcastle HD has them for $700. Looks like my only real option.

I don't think the bags for 2013 and older are much different, if at all, than those included in kit 90201079. The mounting looks the same except for possible spacing of the holes. And that's easily corrected. The instructions for the kit do not list part numbers for the bags themselves.That's kind of odd. So no way to compare.

 

I saw a dealer early in 2014 advertising the "Classic" is back. They had a RK with cruise, abs and the classic bags added, they had it priced adding all of this which would be ok if they gave you the hard bags you paid for too.
