Man, does that bike hit the nail on the head with regards to where Harley needs to go with the VRSC line. Something this radical should be their ideal. The Night Rod Special is getting there but doesn't take things far enough. TheStreet Rod was in the ballpark too, but both designs kind of miss the mark.I think thatthe lineshould aim at something like the Triumph Speed Triple: A radical street fighter with minimalistic styling and radical sportbike engineering like radial brakes, single-side swingarms and inverted forks. As soon as I saw the Night Rod Special I thought "Vincent Black Shadow for the Twenty-first Century".However, the Vincent represented the state of the art in performance motorcycles in the fifties.Lets face it. Traditionalists (Like me) are never going to buy a VRSC cruiser. We might, however, be tempted to buy one if it were done in the mold I have described. I hope the MoCo reads this forum.
