Is it true the VROD engine was designed by Porsche?

I was told by the dealership that the engine is a co-design with Porsche.

 

Here are some pics of my '08 AW. The first pic was taken a couple of days after picking her up from the dealership back in April. The remaining pics are what she looks like now after I have had some fun changing things out. Nothing wrong with stock, just not my style.

I wish I could get my camera or my camera phone to take proper pics of the LED kit I installed. The pics I have do not do her justice. I also have LED's behind the skull horn cover. Serves 2 purposes... 1. added saftey because I am more visible at night and 2. it looks bad ***!!!!
