Default bought a vrod today - I was surprised with the ride

My 07 ultra needs to go under the knife and it's just too close to riding season to give another engine job my full atttention. So I pushed the ultra into my 8.5X18 trailer (shop on wheels) to get it out of the way. needed something to ride for a few months and was bouncing back and fourth between different brands and models. Wound up looking at a vrod and found the ride surprisingly cruiser didn't get a nija lean sensation at all. Might even keep it after the ultra is finisnhed.

The Vrods are fun and nimble cruisers. I had both an 06A and a 2010 Muscle (my past bikes) Def feels lighter compared to a touring bike and I had fun with both.

I'm enjoying the ride, too. We sold the '95 Ultra & bought an '03 V-rod recently. I wouldn't go back!

UNY you must love the influx of bikes in the summer!! My first trip on a bike was up to Alex Bay Mother's day weekend in 1979.

I thought I wanted a vrod and put a deposit on one while the ultra was getting a new motor. I have back problems and just could not take the riding position. I rode one with mids and one with forwards. And I would have gotten a lot of tickets

Yes, they've started to have some pretty good rallies here again lately! It's nice...except at 2AM when the bars close & they roar past the house! LOL
We didn't have a bike last summer but we still got over to Americade for a couple days. It'll be great to be on two-wheels again this summer.

After almost 20,000 miles I got a little tired of the riding position of my 2009... Taller bars did the trick. The stock seat on the '07-'11 DX is great IMO, but I might sacrifice a bit of cushion to lower the base of it down a bit. Still, the stock position of the bike wasn't bad at all...
