Good morning guys,

I received a text from a friend yesterday about a 2008 Nightrod. He knows I'm in the market for a Harley (although I really want a new Street Bob), but apparently has a good deal. His friend's friend's Mother (I know, long chain), just went through a divorce, and is stuck with her ex-husbands bike and is stuck making payments on it. I assume it's because it is in her name.

Anyway, the bike retailed for $16,500 and she currently owes $12k. The bike is mint with 3200 miles (he sent 3 pics so far), and 7 months (?) remaining on the warrenty. The dealer offered her $10k to just trade the bike in, although going into winter here in the Northeast, I would think they are more likely to put it on consignment for that number rather than write a check...but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I can probably grab this bike for $10k (maybe even less if we do it quickly). The market shows them priced in the $11k-13k range. I assume this is a great deal, right?

I know nothing about V-Rod so I'm looking for some direction

Well KyleE that's a pretty good deal. I have seen them listed around here for that much but, with alot more miles. Around 11000 miles.

 

If the bikes in NJ, do your best to make sure it wasn't affected in any way by Sandy. As I'm sure you know, salt water is incredibly corrosive.

Ahh, very smart thoughts. It is in NJ, but I'm not sure what town. I will definitely check that out though.

I offered $7500 and she wrote back saying she is interested. She is just waiting to see what the dealer offers her.
