Anyone got recommendations for vendors of good quality leather saddlebags for a V-Rod? I noticed one posted photo and those bags were hot! Do not like the Harley vinyl ones. Please provide web links if possible in your postings. Thanks much!

I have a set of throw-over, but they are not that great and they are rarely on. One problem that can occur with the use of "standard" sized bags are that they can make contact with the turn signals. That is why the Harley ones have a recess for the signals. You will either need to account for this space, thereby reducing the possible size of the bags, or relocate/eliminate the signals.

 

never seen a nice set on a V-Rod sorry... some bikes just shouldnt have bags

 

Saddle bags on a Night Rod actually look cool(my opinion).

I can't reccommend from personal experience but here's a link to Boss Bags for V-Rods http://www.bossbags.com/ourbags.html Course they only work on A or B models, not my NightRod or I'd have a set on 'em They look great. I'm not sure why they won't work on the NightRod, I thought it was because the exhaust is higher and there wasn't enough clearance, but the staff at Boss Bags says no -the rear section of the NightRod is made differently. I'm going to buy a parts manual to see if I can determine just what is different.
