good point, and this would be my first ever on a harley and close to my first on a motorcycle, only been on dirtbikes and such in the past.
i would like to get as much experience as soon as possible

 

Its definently a NICE ride. I wish I could get one. I've seen 2 for sale in Oklahoma city eralier this week. But havent heard anything about them discontinued. Good luck on the future purchase.

I think it will be like the "limited edition" 35th anniversary Super Glide in 06 which is now the 07 Super Glide Custom

 

If it helps any logan, as of the last week in '06 both dealerships in the Harrisburg, PA area each had one and both of them were closed the first week of '07 for inventory jsut reopening today. I see you are in PA might be worth looking into those.

Hey all, new member here.

2006 is not the only year for the DX. The Screaming Eagle was the limited production bike set at 1500 bikes. The DX will continue as far as I know.

 

Correction to previous post. The VRSCSE Screaming Eagle VRod is limited to 1400. BTW, #248 is sitting at Carolina Harley. Somebody go buy it before I do something stupid. [:@]

 

Wish I had the money to do stupid things like buy that bike. I say go for it!

Before I bought my Night Rod Special I had been told by at least 5 dealers (including one where I know the owner) that each dealer is only get 2 or 3 of these bikes this year and that may or may not continue to make it. They said Harley was not confirming anything. They did say that they would be suprised if Harley did not continue making it in some fashion as it has been so popular. I am in Georgia and they are impossible to get.
