Default Guys please!! Need some opinions!!!

Ok guys Im dealing with this dealer on a 06' VRSC V-rod, blue, 9600 miles, great condition, I test-rode-it already runs great, engine sound great too. They're asking $8900 plus tx, and fees, well the guy might do it for $8100 + tax, and fees, wich might come out for 9+ grand out the door. I need some serious opinions, since this is going to be my first bike. Im I being ripped off, or Im getting a good deal? Please guys, tomarrow I might be having that VRSC in my garage or I might just let this go. Thanx in advance fellows.

kelley blue book says in excelent cond. is worth 9500.00 retail. I'd say if you plan on keeping it for a few years, go for it. If you think you might sell it in 1 or 2 years plan on losing money.

Thanx bud, yeah I'm planing on keep in it. I have an 03 F150 HD, a 99 Saleen mustang, and a 2004 focus Saleen, and I don't believe in selling something you buy because you really like it. Keep your toys till the end!!!!

I'd keep looking. There are some great deals to be had if you don't mind doing some homework. Go check out the classified section at 1130cc.com.

Yes, keep looking. If you don't mind having one shipped to you and it meets Cali's import regs then find one out of state. I am in Ohio and found a spotless '06 R for $6995 with 1840 miles on it in N. Carolina.

How much did you pay for it total, with shipping? That sounds like a great deal, and the way to go. I'de probably do that, but I'm the type of person that when buying in the "motorized" category I need to actually see it, test drive it, or ride it. But yes you're definitely right, that's how you find great deals. Thanx I'll keep looking...

Just under $8200 out the door with a 3 year warranty added in. It was not shipped as I drove the 7 hrs each way to see it and then purchase it. Threw it in the back of the truck and took it home.

I found my 2006 VRSCR(1084) on craigslist for $7500 last May. I'd shop around!

I agree, but also keep in mind that its spring! and most dealers are selling 1-2k more than retail due to the season and cause fuel prices are high and bikes are in demand.

I just bought a used 06 dyna wide with 2200 miles, I shopped at 5 dealers and prices were all over the place! Its a hard market right now!

The one cool thing is if your gunna deal with Eagle mark finance they have almost the same deals on used as new, plus you can get a full factory warranty thru HD just as if the bike was new...

Yeah I didn't go back afterall. I might be getting some fellows kind of mad at me, but I just started considering the new Yamaha stryker. I know a harley is a Harley, but they're kind of overpriced. So I might be looking at the Stryker, for just a couple grand more, I'm getting a brand new 0 miles bike. But still love Harley, I just love my 03 F-150 HD. Thanx everybody for your opinions.
