They are a good product, had a similiar kit on my Sportster. It is a cheap way to lower the bike an inch, but the best way would be to change the shocks. On my VRSCAW, the stock shocks are 13.5", buy a set of progressive 11" shocks and you lower the bike 2.5"...just something to think about

Question

Hmm... $500 on shocks or $1000 on air ride... I'm personally thinking about just holding off and springing the big bucks for the badass air ride. But in the mean time, I was thinking about springs to hold me over...

Air rides are the bomb. Had them for a while and can say the best thing i could have done. Do not buy the kits It changes the angle of your shocks to lower the bike. Not a good idea. THe ride is terrible. Go with progressives. You can get the 412's for a good price (seen them used for as low as 125). They are better than stockers anyway. 12" will lower it until you pony up the money for the airs.

I've officially decided to hold off for the Arnott Air Ride setup. You can get the complete kit for about $1000 shipped. I think it will be worth the wait until my other toy sells...

the geometry change is what i was afraid of on those kits. i have progressives on my chopper, 11.5" i think and its a pretty nice ride. not really planning on lowering my dx, was more just for personal knowledge that i asked but thanks everyone. it sits pretty low as is.

The air ride is probably the single best mod you can make on a V-rod, especially if you have somebody that likes to hold down the back seat.

It's pricey, but if you lower with short shocks, you can't jack it back up when conditions call for it. Plus it's just cool as hell to ride into bike night and slam it, then when you get ready to leave, un-slam it.

Nice! Yeah I'm definitely craving it as my next big mod after a Custom Dynamics signal setup. Why do these damn blinkers have to be so expensive?!?!
