If it helps, a base Night Rod went for $14,995 + $300 freight new in 2008. ABS added $795, and California models were an additional $100. I'm not an expert on VR resale prices, but 14K+ seems high to me.

Try looking on kbb.com. They have motorcycle values listed there, which will give you some ball park figures.

Is it a night rod or a night rod special? either way 14k is high. There are alot of deals on used V rods out there. They just don't hold their value very well.

There are several on EBAY with less than 7,000 miles for around 12,000-13,000 Buy It Now pricing. Also some with higher pricing. If you are really interested in the Vrod i would say around 12,000 with under 10,000 miles would be a reasonable deal. With a little shopping in these hard times might find one even cheaper.

Love my Vrod The Ultra sits in the garage since i got mine.

All I can say is my 06 D rolled in the garage today with 24,444 miles. I paid a bit more than $14k for it in 2006. We have never regretted getting this bike. A bike, or anything else, is worth what you are satisfied paying.
The Arnott Air ride came in today. I went with the handle bar controls. Sunday we plan on seriously testing it out.

(My wife's bone marrow biopsy last week came back completely clean. No leukemia as far as they can tell!!)

Yep, we're riding with our son and Sveinn (from 1130cc) tomorrow. Gots to try out the new Arnotts!

$14k is definitely a bit pricey for a used 2008 with less than 5k miles. I have seen used 2009 VRSCFs out there for $15k and with ABS they were about $18k out the door. I think the dealers that have 2009 new inventory are selling for about $2-3k less than the 2010's.
