V-Rod Muscle Exhaust
Just wanted to let any V-Rod Muscle owners to wait before they spend the money on new exhaust pipes to get a different sound. I purchased a Muscle at the end of March and now have just over 5000 miles on it. At around 4200 miles the exhaust pipe for the front cylinder started to change sound, it changed to a deeper louder rumble. At around 4900 the pipe for the rear cylinder started to change the same way. It still doesn't sound like a regular Harley, but it sounds pretty damn cool.

i have two brothers with the vance and hines comp series two into one it sounds good but a little too loud for all the time but i think from what ive heard the comp series dual slip ons are a little better because they are farther back and there is a lot more pipe involved and you get to keep the dual look which i think looks great on the muscle

V-Rod Muscle pipes
There are a few options out there now, although I plan to go with the respected V&H myself. I love the look of their slip-on's vs. the 2 into 1. Here are a few links:

I agree with the comments suggesting a high flow air filter. It will cost me $450 for a dyno to put the overall difference in writing, but I'm not sure I care (unless I can sweet talk the techs into a freebie). I just want a better sound without loss of torque. If you go with drag pipes then seriously consider the baffles to retain HP (unless your only goal is to rattle your neighbor's windows loose - in which case they probably deserve it). Talk with an expert - which I am not.
Here are a couple cheesy videos of the V&H systems - no fault of V&H:

Muscle Exhaust
lol - yeah, I was quite disappointing when I first heard it. But I loved the engineering and the "feel" of the bike, and knew that aftermarket pipes would soon follow. After 7,000 miles it sounds a lot better, but I still want more. LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!
