gettin an 08 nite rod...
hello,i had a sporty for a while.im gettin the d.the only diff between the d and dx is the rear tire a 180 to 240...but really the contact patch is almost the same.the 240 has about 1/8 in more contact...im traden at iron vally in pa.i reworked my deal and gettin it all 1200 for parts 600 clothes and the bike and only financeing 13200.not bad i thought...ill have pics sat.but my pipes and things wont be on till prob jan.not in stock and backordered.cant wiat to feel the power...

All you need is good gloves and a good jacket. The radiator makes for a passable heater. I suggest making sure there is no ice on the roads.
Enjoy the ride. When riding with other bikes that aren't power cruisers (Vmax, M109, V-rod) or sport bikes, you'll only need 2nd and 3rd gears to run with them.

Yeah, there isn't much wind protection on these things. You will get cold at those temps unless you have heated gear. The only one of those bikes that will come close is the M109 which is bascially down to rider ability.
